Week mashup

Hey guys,

How are you doing? This mashup is mostly going to be about my inquiry, We are doing Global issues. We get to choose a problem and create a visual piece for it. I'm doing goal 8 from the United Nations  17 goals by the year 2030. That is Decent Work and Economic growth. for years our economy has been struggling due to it being helped by low-interest rates that later leave inflation to finances like the bank. also, I finally have got my koru artwork completed and I'm ready to show you, unfortunately, my adobe spark is not completed so I won't be posting that instead I will be posting it later. ( sorry I can't change the order of the slides)

During class, we have made a program on scratch to learn our Samoan number a little bit better, just type in the number you want ( it must be a number 1-10) then it will tell you the translation in Samoan. Pretty cool. have you learned to count numbers 1-10 in a different language? Let me Know!

Family tree

Hi guys,

We have been focusing on family trees every Friday, because my family is from Germany, Britain, and Australia I had to make a slide show where I was from + we are learning to write our pepeha's. Mines not finished but I made a start on it today, what do you think about my slide?

Voices of hope

For the past week, we have been learning about certain charities and hotlines that could help us if we have a problem, then we have to make a poster on one of the charities. I choose voices of hope. Voices of Hope is an organization that helps people with mental illnesses, it's run by two girls who have dealt with mental illnesses before so they wanted to make charity, They are trying to raise suicide awareness and trying to decrease the number of suicides in NZ every year. I personally think its really cool and if you are struggling with anything go to Thevoicesofhope.org.

Learning languages (samoan)

Hi, Guys

We are learning Samoan Every Wednesday. I did an Animation with my friend Hannah about the 16 letters in the Samoan alphabet as opposed to 26 in the English alphabet. have you learned any languages? tell me in the comments.

Spanish

Hola bloggers,

for the last two weeks while swimming has been going on we have been learning basic Spanish like letters, numbers and the days of the week. we also learned how to hold a basic conversation. to be honest, I never knew that Spanish had a feminine and masculine language, we normally use the word "the" to say for example  "the bus" but in Spanish it is  "la autobus" for feminine and "el autobus" for masculine.

another thing I found interesting was how in English we have 26 letters but in the Spanish alphabet we have 27 letters and it all comes down to n. in Spanish the have n and N, ( I can't spell the right N thanks to my keyboard.)

I have made a Spanish animation for you to learn some basic greetings and what to say like where are you from? and a few other things.

for inquiry we are learning about Japanese art and culture, here's mine.

Inuit culture

For inquiry, we are going to study art and culture. we have 3 cultures to choose from and we are taking lessons and learning more about the culture before we pick. my first lessons were about the Inuit, otherwise known as Eskimos, these people were from Canada and when English settlers came 90% of their people were wiped out.
