Hey, guys
Recently I have been creating a board game for my tech teacher, unfortunately, I have just shared it with her so I won't be sharing that, however, I have been reading the wizard of oz and I'm up to chapter 17, and close to the conclusion. We were told that we had to do some tasks, one of them for me was about why purple isn't in any flags and we were also told to make our own flag for our household. so down the bottom is my creation.
*purple up until the 19th century was considered to represent wealth and royalty, because of the ingredients in Europe that made it very expensive, during what was called the golden stage of the Tudors, Queen Elizabeth l passed a law that only royals or friends of royals could wear purple.
This is my family’s flag if we had one, the bubble represents quarantine and our bubble. The tv and the lines inside represent the curry and news we watch on Saturdays (it always leads it my dad yelling at the tv. The woman and the bike In the corner represent exercise, finally, the x in the corner represents my room that I never come out of.

Interesting Flag Addison. You can definitely tell that the lockdown is having a big effect on life in your household, though at least you make the time for a good curry. Thai green curry has been a staple for our household as well during lockdown. I hope you get out of your room 'sometimes' at least :p. Make sure you get as much fresh air as possible. Personally, even if I can't find the enthusiasm to exercise again, I'll go out and work in the garden for a bit. Are you enjoying the Wizard of Oz?
ReplyDeleteHey Mr. Gilstrom, yes lockdown is having a huge effect on us, though I have put more studing into english royals from 1485 AD until today,We normally have butter chicken for a curry becuase my mum never gets sick of it. I perosnally think the Wizard of was a great book for its time, but now some verses in the book would be considered questionable. stay safe.

Hi Addie
ReplyDeleteGreat post! I didn't know that about purple actually so I have learnt from your post. Are you sick of lockdown? I have been at school which is extremely weird with hardly any children there! It's like a ghost school :). It's quite tricky to remember the physical distancing, but we are getting there. Have a great weekend Addie, I miss you. Mrs Pascoe
Hi Mrs. Pascoe, yes purple was a very expensive color indeed. I bet it must be very weird with very little children at school. wish you the best and keep socail distancing, have a great week.
